Dr. Dwayne C. Wright is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Vertice and Mary Wright. Dr. Wright is the husband of Tosha Dunnigan Wright. He is the father of two children, Amaya (16) and Quince (12). Dr. Wright is a proud product of the York (PA) City School District and two-time alumnus Kutztown University where he earned his B.S. in Secondary Education Mathematics and M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction. He earned his PhD in Social Foundations of Education with an emphasis on History of Education at the University of Georgia. He later earned a M.A. in Counseling – Clinical Mental Health from Messiah College.

Dr. Wright practices holistic mental wellness and healing by using narrative and cognitive behavior therapeutic frameworks. Dr. Wright’s work centers on the healing journeys of African American men, boys, and families. In his spare time, Dr. Wright teaches indoor cycling, boot camps, yoga, and water aerobics classes. He also loves to cook and spend time with family and friends.
